All Currently In Development Nintendo Mobile Games Are Free-To-Play

DeNA had a recent meeting with investors for a financial briefing, and DeNA Chief Executive Isao Moriyasu stated that all of the mobile games that are currently in development with Nintendo will be free-to-play. Mr. Moriyasu unfortunately did not reveal how many games are currently in development, but we know that at least the first Nintendo and DeNa smartphone app, Miitomo, will be free-to-play while relying on microtransactions to make money.

Nintendo is partnering with Japanese publisher DeNA to develop and publish around five mobile games by March, 2017. As I’ve stated before, the first smartphone app that will be released in 2016 is Miitomo.
