While Baltimore continues to be in headlines for riots, violence, chaos, and darkness, the heart of this city continues to shine through.
This young man is one example of a shining light in the darkness. Instead of ignoring a homeless man asleep on the sidewalk, he dropped to one knee, extended a hand, and bowed his head in prayer.
The moment was captured by Jonathan A. Stormz who made a comment stating:
“I watched as this young kid was walking pass, stopped and walked over to this sleeping homeless man; touched him and began praying over him… This was an amazing sight! I pray this kid becomes a leader amongst his peers, and continues on this path!! Not all Baltimore youth are lost!!”
May the Lord bless this young man for being a light in this dark world, and for having the courage, strength, and humbling himself to pray for this homeless man, and not being like those who ignore the poor and needy and pass by without a care in the world (especially those who call themselves followers of Jesus Christ). I also pray for this homeless man to be in a better place and position than what he is in now, and when he does, he gives glory to God for he has done for him. In Jesus name, amen.
And let me leave this scripture here for those who say Lord, Lord, and don’t do what he says (and I am not trying to be harsh, just stating the truth, as I say this even for myself as well):
A Tree and its Fruit
…20“So then, you will know them by their fruits. 21“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. 22“Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’23“And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.’
